Liam McGrath, singer/songwriter
My name is Liam McGrath and I am the singer/songwriter/guitar player that is the Cactus Project. If you go online and look up "The Cactus Project", there are a couple of other groups doing different things, but I am here to make music and hopefully bring something wonderful into your life. I've been playing off and on since I was 14, and was in an alternative rock band in high school. I'm now making singer/songwriter music and I love doing it. My father is my business partner and with his help I'm trying to stretch my wings on the online music sites. We've also been sending music out to radio stations, mostly small and college radio. This is my first podcast style message to anyone who's reading this, If you are, then I suppose you've found our website and are checking it out. Cool! Liam's Story
​Liam McGrath got his first guitar at the age of 14; a white, electric "Crest". At 16, he started a band with several high school friends. Sadly, at the age of 28, Liam was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. He would spend the next years of his life in the mental health system, but Liam continued to play guitar, adding vocals and eventually becoming a singer-songwriter.
